After Dorasan Station, we had lunch at the village Tanjichin--which is located within the DMZ. I believe there are two villages in the DMZ and I ate lunch at one of them. It was really too cold to really wander around the couple of buildings, but it was pointed out that they don't really have any security. They really don't need it--no one could ever sneak into the DMZ so they are safe.
To be honest, lunch wasn't very good. It was a very traditional fare (which kept the costs down) but sometimes (actually usually) very traditional does not equal delicious.
We had a soybean paste soup--which basically was a bunch of soybeans put in a blender and mushed up. Reminded me of baby food. And then the other was a tentacle spicy soup. And the side dishes weren't filing either--a bunch of types of tofu. I was So glad i had brought a sandwich from Paris Bagette that morning.
